When PIRSA decided that it was time to upgrade their highly awarded SARIG website, SRA had a problem…..How do you improve on one of the great online success stories ? SARIG was developed as a key deliverable to promote resource exploration in South Australia. After years of incremental change, SARIG had evolved into a highly sophisticated amalgam of data, spatial tools, shopping facilities, exploration data and much more. The growing technical complexity was beginning to make a significant upgrade difficult and the sheer number of options available had begun to make the user interface look cluttered compared to newer spatial systems. It was time to reinvest to make SARIG faster, easier to use and with even higher levels of integration with data sources and related systems.

Towards A Sustainable Energy Future
The Solar Cities Program is a $75 million dollar initiative launched in 2004 that currently has seven Solar Cities participating in the program. Effective data collection and monitoring arrangements are critical to the success of the Solar Cities Program. The data is used to assess the nature and extent of economic and environmental costs and benefits associated with each Solar City project. The Solar Cities Data Warehouse is the repository for the data collected from each Solar City and provides the source data for addressing many of the reporting objectives of the program.
