Web Based Systems

Like other information technology companies, SRA has focussed its development toward web-based systems. Nearly 100 percent of SRA development is now web-based.

The greatest benefits in having web-based systems is accessibility, and a reduced long-term cost in regards to ongoing system and user support.

We have created a number of web-based systems including:

Knowledge Portals

SRA has created a number of Knowledge Portals using Oracle Portal, a web based application for building and deploying e-business portals providing unified access to all enterprise information.

Knowledge Portals present a unified view of an organisation's information, sourced from different data repositories. Portals allow information to be tagged and allocated to multiple information groups.

We choose Oracle Portal because it has many advantages over other Internet/Intranet applications which are typically static in nature. Oracle provides functionality for accessing dynamic data and external applications.

Tenement Management System

TMS is a new generation product that integrates spatial, digital and textual information in managing mining and exploration compliance via the web.

The system allows for inspectors to access data from remote regions and is currently being used by the South Australian Government.

Online Billing Information & Payment System

OBIPS delivers billing information electronically through a web browser. It provides customers with timely and accurate invoices, dispute management facilities, payment facilities and reports via a browser based interface.

The system accommodates the full invoice process as well as gauging the performance of product lines and the performance of the individual departments.

EnviroFUND

EnviroFUND is an innovative environmental programme management system.

The system is comprised of three key components - the EnviroFUND Online Application; the EnviroFUND Program Administrator and the EnviroFUND Monitoring and Evaluation System.

EnviroFUND was used by the Australian Government's Department of Environment and Heritage as the administration tool for the $2.6 Billion Natural Heritage Trust Fund.

The framework for this system can be used for any Government or large non-government organisation.
