World Bank project successfully reaches half-way milestone!
On the eve of 12 months hard work, SRA has achieved a huge milestone for the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of the Philippines.
Steve Rowe, CEO of SRA, happily announced that the eWISE project is at the half-way point.
The World Bank sponsored project: ERC Web Portal for Interactive and Systematic Exchange (eWISE) is the first of it's kind and will implement and operate an external and internal portal, case and document management, and data warehouse and business intelligence solution in order to reduce risk, streamline processes and ensure compliance.
Last week in a ceremony which included stakeholders from the World Bank, ERC and SRA, our CEO, Steve Rowe confirmed the project maintains its "on time, on budget" status and will move towards the operational phase as we head into 2018. “We are creating a portal for external and internal users to capture energy regulatory information.” he said. “The system will be able to produce analytics on consumption and trends back to the point of generation, allowing the Philippines to plan future needs.” Steve said.
During November, another milestone was achieved as SRA delivered new hardware to the ERC as part of a value-added component of the project.

Back in 2016, the Philippines ERC requested World Bank assistance with re-engineering its operations to improve regulatory efficiency and effectiveness and better manage regulatory risk. The World bank engaged SRA to deliver the solution. The Project commenced in January 2017 with the stipulation that the solution must support the ERC’s vision: “A world class and independent electric power industry regulator that equitably promotes and protects the interests of consumers and other stakeholders, to enable the delivery of long-term benefits that contribute to sustained economic growth and an improved quality of life”.
